Peony Strawberry Crème Brulee looks exactly as sweet and delightful as its name suggests. The large, fluffy blooms are a vibrant shade of warm strawberry pink, filled with beautifully ruffled layers of petals. As the flower fully opens, it reveals a charming center where smaller pink petals mix perfectly with bright golden stamens. It is a wonderfully fun, mouth-watering color combination that truly stands out in the sunlight.
This lively peony is a fantastic way to add a bright, cheerful splash of color to your flower beds or garden pathways. It grows into a healthy, dependable bush with strong stems that easily keep the lovely flowers standing tall, even when the spring breeze picks up. The fresh green leaves provide a wonderful backdrop for the vivid pink blooms, keeping the plant looking neat and beautiful all season long.
Strawberry Crème Brulee is also a wonderful flower for cutting. Bringing a few of these sweet blossoms indoors instantly adds a happy, romantic, and cozy feel to any room. It’s the perfect choice for anyone who loves bright, playful colors and wants a peony that brings a genuinely joyful energy to their space.

Will it flower in the first year?
Will it flower in the first year?
Peonies take time to settle. A 3–5 eye root builds a strong plant in its first year and usually flowers from the 2nd or 3rd year, then every year for decades. If your peony has not grown or flowered although you followed our planting instructions, our 100% flowering guarantee applies: we replace it or refund you.

Guide and tips for planting peony roots
- Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.
- Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the peony root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.
- Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.
- Place the root in the hole with the eyes (small buds) facing up. For herbaceous and Itoh peonies, the eyes should be 2–5 centimeters below the soil surface; plant tree peonies at the depth they grew in the nursery.
- Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the root.
- Water the soil until it is evenly moist.
- Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
- Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.
- As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.
- After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
