Peony Rose d'Amour is a wonderfully romantic and enchanting flower with a truly captivating look. Its large, lush blooms are a beautiful shade of soft, antique pink that gently fades to a delicate blush on the outer petals. As the flower opens up, it reveals a beautifully full and layered center of softly ruffled petals. It is an incredibly elegant and expressive color combination that feels both soothing and deeply classic.
This gorgeous variety is a perfect addition to any sunny flower bed or mixed garden border. It grows into a strong, dependable bush with sturdy stems that easily support the large, voluminous flowers, so you don't have to worry about them drooping down into the dirt after a spring rain. The rich green leaves provide a wonderful backdrop that really highlights those romantic pink blooms, keeping your garden looking lush and neat all season long.
Rose d'Amour is also an absolute dream for bringing indoors. Just a few of these elegant blossoms in a vase will instantly make any room feel brighter, cozier, and more sophisticated. It’s the perfect choice for anyone who loves soft, welcoming pastel colors and wants a flower that brings a touch of effortless, warm charm to their home and garden.

Will it flower in the first year?
Peonies take time to settle. A 3–5 eye root builds a strong plant in its first year and usually flowers from the 2nd or 3rd year, then every year for decades. If your peony has not grown or flowered although you followed our planting instructions, our 100% flowering guarantee applies: we replace it or refund you.

How to Plant?
Guide and tips for planting peony roots
- Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.
- Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the peony root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.
- Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.
- Place the root in the hole with the eyes (small buds) facing up. For herbaceous and Itoh peonies, the eyes should be 2–5 centimeters below the soil surface; plant tree peonies at the depth they grew in the nursery.
- Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the root.
- Water the soil until it is evenly moist.
- Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
- Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.
- As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.
- After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
