Height of the plant: 80-100 cm
Flower diameter: 15 cm
Blossom months: May-June
Flower colour: a delicate pink
The majestic Pecher herbaceous peony will enjoy abundant flowering in late spring, taking over a slice of summer as well. Its numerous pompom-type buds, which are small and have a delicate pink shade, give off a pleasant, unobtrusive fragrance. The shrub grows quickly, building up a large green mass by the third year of life. It will also produce long flower stalks with 1-3 buds each. Allow the plant to grow in a sunny spot or in the open penumbra. In the first years, cover the root zone of the young plants with a layer of peat, leaves or lapwort. The Peter variety will fit in perfectly in a garden landscape of varying design. It is particularly interesting in an oriental garden corner, surrounded by few plants and stones. There, it looks like a real king of the bed, attracting the eye throughout the growing season.

Guide and tips for planting peony plants and bulbs
- Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.
- Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the diameter of the peony bulb or root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.
- Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.
- Place the peony bulb or root in the hole with the "eyes" (small buds) facing up and the crown (thickened stem base) no more than 1-2 inches below the soil surface.
- Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb or root.
- Water the soil until it is evenly moist.
- Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
- Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.
- As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.
- After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
