Peony Globe of Light is a breathtaking variety that truly lives up to its name. Its lovely flowers feature broad, bright pink outer petals that beautifully surround a fluffy, glowing center. This center is packed with delicate, creamy-yellow little petals with soft hints of pink, creating a stunning contrast that looks like a tiny burst of sunshine.

This peony is a wonderful standout in any garden, looking beautiful whether planted in a flower bed, a mixed border, or along a walkway. It forms a neat, attractive bush with sturdy stems that easily hold the charming blooms upright, even during breezy spring days. The rich green leaves stay fresh and vibrant, keeping your garden looking great long after the blooming season ends.

Globe of Light is also a fantastic choice for bringing indoors. The cheerful flowers look wonderful in a vase, instantly brightening up any room with their lively colors and pleasant, light scent. How to Plant?

Guide and tips for planting peony plants and bulbs

  • Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.
  • Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the diameter of the peony bulb or root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.
  • Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.
  • Place the peony bulb or root in the hole with the "eyes" (small buds) facing up and the crown (thickened stem base) no more than 1-2 inches below the soil surface.
  • Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb or root.
  • Water the soil until it is evenly moist.
  • Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
  • Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.
  • As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.
  • After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
