The Bowl of Cream peony is a versatile ornament that can transform both the garden and the bouquet into a charming springtime arrangement. This particular variety is ideal for growing in sunny areas that will bring out the beauty of the lush buds. Also, creamy white peonies can make the perfect gift in a cut. The dense, straight stems, which reach 95 cm in height, are suitable for cutting. The stems are decorated with dense, elongated foliage.
Peony Bowl of Cream is a herbaceous peony with large double flowers of a classic shape. Its petals of a delicate creamy white hue form a dense cup-shaped flower with many densely arranged layers. It looks unusually luxurious and noble, as if it has descended from the pages of botanical illustrations. Flowering is accompanied by a delicate, sweetish aroma that adds even more appeal to the flower.
This variety is considered one of the best for cutting, because the flowers have a long “life” in a vase and keep their shape perfectly. In the garden, Bowl of Cream will look especially impressive in group plantings or as an element of mixborders next to pink, burgundy or purple perennials.

Guide and tips for planting peony plants and bulbs
- Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.
- Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the diameter of the peony bulb or root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.
- Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.
- Place the peony bulb or root in the hole with the "eyes" (small buds) facing up and the crown (thickened stem base) no more than 1-2 inches below the soil surface.
- Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb or root.
- Water the soil until it is evenly moist.
- Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
- Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.
- As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.
- After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
