Peony Vanilla Schnapps is a wonderfully warm and inviting flower with a truly delicious look. Its large, fluffy blooms are a beautiful shade of soft, buttery cream that gently fades to a crisp, pale white on the outer petals. As the flower opens up, it reveals a bright and cheerful center packed with sunny golden-yellow stamens. It is a beautifully soft and elegant color combination that feels incredibly soothing and classic.
This gorgeous variety is a perfect addition to any sunny flower bed or mixed garden border. It grows into a strong, dependable bush with sturdy stems that easily support the large, full flowers, so you don't have to worry about them drooping down into the dirt after a spring rain. The rich green leaves provide a wonderful backdrop that really highlights those pale, creamy blooms, keeping your garden looking lush and neat all season long.
Vanilla Schnapps is also an absolute dream for bringing indoors. Just a few of these elegant blossoms in a vase will instantly make any room feel brighter, cozier, and more sophisticated. It’s the perfect choice for anyone who loves soft, welcoming pastel colors and wants a flower that brings a touch of effortless, warm charm to their home and garden.

Guide and tips for planting peony plants and bulbs
- Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.
- Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the diameter of the peony bulb or root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.
- Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.
- Place the peony bulb or root in the hole with the "eyes" (small buds) facing up and the crown (thickened stem base) no more than 1-2 inches below the soil surface.
- Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb or root.
- Water the soil until it is evenly moist.
- Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
- Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.
- As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.
- After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
